Sony no longer makes backup cameras. This camera (although not a SONY) is being sold through Sony distribution channels as a compatible replacement. It has the correct Sony six-pin connector and will function with Sony's 6-pin color monitors and switchers (VCB-MHD1, VCB-62MH and CVS100).

It specifically replaces obsolete models VCB-MH1, VCB-MH3, VBC-RV3MHB, VCB-RV2MH, VCB-RV3MHW, VCB-RV3MH, and XS91201WH  ONLY! It is notcompatible the older Sony Black/White systems.

New camera will not attach to older mounting brackets. You will have to either modify your exisitng bracket (if its custom to your vehicle) or remove the exisitng bracket and use the new camera's included bracket.

The new camera also will not have the same dimensions as any of the older cameras.
